Blend urban landscape, nature, and history with art and community in a fun and exciting five-day event and voilà! That’s a Plein Air Paintout! It's also the Frank Bette Center for the Arts' most important annual fund raiser.
Plein air painting opens a magical connection between artist and spectator by sharing the artistic experience. Observers of the painting process may find themselves and their communities changed forever.
Look for the artists during the 1st week of August! They paint all over Alameda: on Park and Webster Streets, at the beach, at the marinas, in the park, and in your neighborhood.
